An adequate redox status is important for maintaining mitochondrial function in inflammatory conditions. The aim of this work was to evaluate the effects of α-lipoic acid (LA) in kidney oxidative metabolism and mitochondrial function in lipopolysaccharide (LPS) treated rats.
