Ethno-agricultural approach to the rural environment in the prevention of Kashin-Beck disease

An ecological approach based upon the ethno-ecosystem concept was carried out in the vicinity of each village, identifying 18 vegetation units on a structural basis that belonged to the aquatic milieu.

BIOLOGICAL FLORA OF THE BRITISH ISLES

Global patterns of plant diversity

For plants, biotic interactions are more important in structuring landscapes in warmer climates and longer isolated landscapes have more clearly differentiated ecological subunits, which proposes two hypotheses.

Morphological studies of the subgenus Seriphidium (Besser) Rouy of Artemisia L. in Balochistan (Pakistan)

It is suggested a possible relationship between species distribution patterns, xeromorphism and climatic factors, varying from northeast to southwest Balochistan, and the effects on speciation and habitat preference were discussed.

Vegetation types of East Ladakh: species and growth form composition along main environmental gradients

Question: The vegetation of high mountain regions in Himalaya remains poorly assessed despite the expected vulnerability of these ecosystems to global change drivers. What are the main vegetation

A Study of the Autecology of Polygonum Affine D. Don in the Karakoram Mountains

Examination of these communities, which owe their existence entirely to the influence of grazing animals, shows that within one altitudinal zone different herbaceous communities are clearly distinct and are defined largely, but not wholly, by topography.
