Summary1.Isolated intestinal loops of the rat were perfused in the apparatus ofFisher andParsons with solutions of 6 cardiotonic steroids and 3 other drugs under different conditions. The substances were offered in several concentrations; their absorbed amounts were determined either in the absorbed fluid or in the solution bathing the serosa of the gut.
