The spermatozoon of Lithobius forficatus was investigated by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The spermatozoon has a length of about 2 mm long, it is subdivided into a head with acrosome and nucleus, and a tail with a connecting piece, a middle piece and an end piece. The acrosome, surrounded by exogenous fibrillar material is about 4 μ long and 0.2–0.3 μ wide.
