Studies were carried out on the relationship between feather mites in wild birds captured by mist nets at the Engenho Independencia, county of Vicencia. The captures were performed in June, September and December (1995) and March (1996). Mites belonging to the families: Analgidae, Psoroptoididae, Avenzoariidae, Proctophyllodidae e Trouessartiidae were identified to genera.
