Il est remarquable que depuis quelques annees la periode perse soit devenue l’un des objectifs de fouilles de sites dans les territoires de l’empire achemenide hors d’Iran. Tel est le cas de Gordion en Asie Mineure, dont la periode phrygienne a ete longtemps privilegiee. Il s’agit de mesurer l’impact de l’occupation perse dans l’urbanisme, l’architecture et le materiel dates entre le milieu du 6e s. et la fin du 4e s.
