Because of its clinical peculiarities responsible for many diagnostic errors resulting in potentially toxic treatments, tinea faciei should be regarded as a process with a personality of its own. The authors have reviewed 46 cases of tinea faciei, evaluating and highlighting their clinical and epidemiological peculiarities. As regards age and sex, two peaks of maximum incidence can be found: one in childhood, the other in adults older than forty. Many lesions progress over more than 12 months… CONTINUE READING
