OBJECTIVE To investigate the relationship of angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) gene polymorphism to diabetic retinopathy and diabetes myocardial infarction. METHODS ACE insertion/deletion(I/D) polymorphism was determined by PCR. RESULTS No evidence showed that ACE gene was associated with diabetic retinopathy.
