OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents from Rabdosia rubescens. METHODS Compounds were isolated by Silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 and ODS column chromatographies, their strctures were identified by physicochemical property and NMR, MS. RESULTS Eight constituents were identified as phaeophytin a (1), phaeophytin b (2), 17c-ethoxypheaophorbide a (3), 17c-ethoxyphea ophorbide b (4), oleanolic acid (5), physcion (6), emodin-8-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (7), isorhamnetin (8). Antimicrobial active herbal compounds against Acinetobacter baumannii and other pathogens
The active compounds of plants that have potent antibacterial activity against many bacteria including carbapenem resistant strain of A. baumannii are reviewed to help researchers involved in the screening of herbal active compounds that might act as a replacement for carbapENem. Expand
ROS-Mediated Therapeutic Strategy in Chemo-/Radiotherapy of Head and Neck Cancer
Emerging interdisciplinary techniques including photodynamic, nanoparticle system, and Bio-Electro-Magnetic-Energy-Regulation (BEMER) therapy are promising measures to broaden the potency of ROS modulation for the benefit of chemo-/radiotherapy in head and neck cancer. Expand
