[Stomach rupture as a complication of respirator treatment of a newborn infant with esophageal atresia, tracheoesophageal fistula and respiratory distress syndrome].


A case of perforation of the stomach in a premature infant with atresia of the oesophagus, tracheo-oesophageal fistula and the respiratory distress syndrome, requiring positive pressure ventilation, is presented. On the basis of the literature, the therapeutic strategy prior to operation is described.
