Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors(SSRIs) are safe antidepressants and now widely used for the treatment of depression. Although there are five SSRIs(citalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline) available in the world, only two(fluvoxamine and paroxetine) are approved in Japan.
