Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is highly heterogeneous clonal hematological malignancy, having a high rate of progression to acute myeloid leukemia (AML). With the rapid development of molecular biological techniques, plenty of gene mutations were found to have close relationships with the transformation from MDS to AML.
