The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship of the gene polymorphisms of myeloperoxidase (MPO) and NAD (P) H: quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) with the susceptibility to acute leukemia (AL) in Chinese Gansu population. A 1:1 paired case-control study of 150 patients with acute leukemia and 150 cancer-free inpatients as a control was conducted to detect the polymorphisms of MPO and NQO1 by LDR techniques. The results showed that the MPO-463A genotype frequency in patient group was… Expand
Association of genetic polymorphisms of CYP 2 E 1 and MPO genes with acute leukemia risk : a meta-analysis
There is a possible association between acute leukemia (AL) and polymorphisms in genes coding for cytochrome P4502E1 (CYP2E1) and myeloperoxidase (MPO), the enzymes both involved in the metabolismExpand
Associations of NQO1 C609T and NQO1 C465T polymorphisms with acute leukemia risk: a PRISMA-compliant meta-analysis
There are increased risks of ALL in all subjects and of AML in Asians for carriers of the NQO1 C609T polymorphism. Expand
Association between NQO1 C609T polymorphism and acute lymphoblastic leukemia risk: evidence from an updated meta-analysis based on 17 case–control studies
Overall, significantly elevated ALL risk was associated with NQO1 C609T variant genotypes when all of the studies were pooled into the meta-analysis, indicating that the C609O1 gene is an important genetic risk factor in ALL. Expand
A meta‐analysis of the association between NQO1 C609T variation and acute myeloid leukemia risk
Overall, significantly elevated AML risk was associated with NQO1 C609T variant genotypes when all studies were pooled into the meta‐analysis and significant between‐study heterogeneity was observed, thus more studies based on larger case‐control population are required to further evaluate the role of NQC609T polymorphism in AML. Dual Graph-Laplacian PCA: A Closed-Form Solution for Bi-Clustering to Find “Checkerboard” Structures on Gene Expression Data
This paper proposes a novel method, called dual graph-regularization principal component analysis (DGPCA), that simultaneously considers the internal geometric structures of the condition manifold and the gene manifold, which are both suitable for bi-clustering. Expand
