  • FIBROCYSTIC CHANGES (FCC) are a group of alterations in the female breast ranging from harmless to those associated with an increased risk of breast c rcinoma. Some of these changes (stromal fibrosis a nd microcysts or macrocysts) produce palpable lumps. F CC are in essence an exaggeration and distortion of the cyclic breast changes that occur normally in the menstrual cycle.
