Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for about 75%-85% of all lung cancers. NSCLC often presents at stages too late for surgical intervention and traditional treatments including chemotherapy and radiotherapy are inadequate. The 5-year survival rate of NSCLC is only 5%-10%.
