[Osteoporosis and male hypogonadism].

Abstract

There are identifiable factors underlying about 50% of male osteoporosis. Among others, hypogonadism appears to be one of the most important. Authors present problem of male osteoporosis, role of hypogonadism's diagnosis and androgens influence on bone metabolism. Possible treatment of osteoporosis in course of male hypogonadism is discussed.
