Radix Sophorae Flavescentis is a traditional Chinese medicine, which is the roots of Sophora flavescens and is used to treat abscess, dysentery, eczema and skin itch. The main active compounds of the roots of Sophora flavescens are alkaloids and flavonoids. To provide reference compounds for HPLC-DAD qualitification analysis of flavanonoids and for study on the bioactivities of flavanonoids, six main flavanonoids were isolated from the roots of Sophora flavescens. They are 5-methoxy-7, 2', 4…
TLC bioautography-guided isolation of antioxidant activity components of extracts from Sophora flavescens Ait.
In this study, a bioactivity-guided isolation of antioxidant activity components of extracts from Sophora flavescens Ait. based on TLC bioautography and column chromatography was provided. The
Synergic Anti-Pruritus Mechanisms of Action for the Radix Sophorae Flavescentis and Fructus Cnidii Herbal Pair
It is demonstrated that the RSF–FC herbal pair can be elucidated by mining the chemical structures of compounds derived from RSF and FC by predicting the anti-pruritus targets and the main active ingredients for the RSf and FC herbal pair.
Identifying 2 prenylflavanones as potential hepatotoxic compounds in the ethanol extract of Sophora flavescens.
Investigation indicated that prenylated flavanones accounted for the positive hepatotoxic results, and two isolated compounds were identified, kurarinone and sophoraflavanone G, which have potent toxic effects on primary rat hepatocytes and human liver cells.
Five-Decade Update on Chemopreventive and Other Pharmacological Potential of Kurarinone: a Natural Flavanone
An update on the role of chemoprevention and other pharmacological activities reported on kurarinone, a natural flavanone (from 1970 to 2021) is presented, to the best of the authors' knowledge this is the first and exhaustive review of kur Karinone.
The profiling and identification of chemical components, prototypes and metabolites of Run-zao-zhi-yang capsule in rat plasma, urine and bile by an UPLC-Q-TOF/MSE -based high-throughput strategy.
This study developed a three-step strategy to rapidly characterize the chemical constituents and metabolites of RZZY using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry, which offers an applicable approach for high-throughput profiling and identification of chemical components and metabolites derived from traditional Chinese medicine formula in vivo.
Oxymatrine inhibits proliferation of human bladder cancer T24 cells by inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.
Overall, oxymatrine inhibits the proliferation of human bladder cancer cells by inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest via mechanisms that involve p53-Bax signaling and the downregulation of survivin expression.
Progress of small molecular inhibitors in the development of anti-influenza virus agents
The progress of small molecular inhibitors act as antiviral agents, which include hemagglutinin (HA), RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) inhibitors, NA inhibitors and M2 ion channel protein inhibitors etc are reviewed.
