  • Using magnetisation transfer (MTC), a new contrast could be achieved on magnetic resonance images (MRI). Two different techniques are available to produce MTC: on- and off-resonance technique. Basic physics of MTC and the two techniques are extensively described in this review article. Potential advantages in using MTC are imaging of cartilage, multiple sclerosis and MR angiography.
