Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) is an autoimmune disorder of neuromuscular and autonomic transmission in which IgG autoantibodies lead to presynaptic voltage-gated calcium channel (VGCC) loss, or as a paraneoplastic disorder in association with small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC).
