We investigated the effects of epinephrine on the metabolism of a lipid emulsion administrated to rats after 70% hepatectomy. Sprague-Dawley rats were underwent 70% hepatectomy and then were given lipid total parenteral nutrition (lipid-TPN) for 96 h. To increase catabolism after hepatectomy, epinephrine (Bosmine) infused continuously with the lipid-TPN.
