OBJECTIVE The present study aims to describe the prevalence, distribution and trends of hypertension (HT) in Mexican adults ≥20 years, and to describe the prevalence of early diagnosis and treatment of HT. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 10 898 adults were considered. The measurement of blood pressure was performed following the procedures recommended by the American Heart Association.
