OBJECTIVE To describe the frequency of respiratory viruses and clinical characteristics in children with respiratory signs and symptoms in a tertiary care center in Mexico. MATERIAL AND METHODS Patients with a clinical diagnosis of respiratory infection and a positive immunofluorescence result (Light Diagnostics) from January 2004 to October 2006 were included.
