OBJECTIVES The aim of this work was to evaluate the fecal carriage of third generation cephalosporins resistant Enterobacteriaceae in nonhospitalized asymptomatic young adults. METHODS A total of 517 normal fecal samples were spread onto plates agar containing cefotaxime.
