A surgical treatment with the use of an internal extraarticular compression was undertaken in 55 cases of tuberculous coxitis, mainly characterized by a severe destruction of cotyloid cavity and hip joint proximal end. At the same time 42% of these patients had been subjected to unsuccessful radical and stabilizing operations.
