OBJECTIVE To study the effect of Para-aminobenzonic acid (PABA) on cell-surface hydrophobicity of Actinomyces viscosus. METHODS Microbial adhesion to hydrocarbons (MATH) was used to measure the cell-surface hydrophobicity of Actinomyces viscosus which grew in modified Carlsson medium with different dilution of PABA.
