Over the last few years, the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) has taken over from the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) as the new challenge in knee diagnosis and treatment. PCL injuries are much more frequent than previously thought. Despite increasing experience, we are often still confronted with an inappropriate and delayed diagnosis of this injury and its concomitant lesions.
