The biodegradation characteristics of the azo disperse dye neocron black (NB) were investigated under aerobic, anaerobic and anaerobic/aerobic conditions separately with the activated sludge system, and the biological degradation process of the dye was analyzed by spectrophotometry and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
