OBJECTIVE To probe the etiopathogenisis of adjacent-segment disease by analyzing the imageology data and clinical neurological function in patients with anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) harvested by long-term follow-up. METHODS A retrospective study was performed on 52 patients who had undergone ACDF with perfect documents from January 1990 to April 2003.
