Abstract

Antigen against Chlamydia psittaci was detected in 31% to 41% of healthy birds of prey (Accipitriformes, Falconiformes, and Strigiformes) by examination of cloacal swabs and faeces out of 119 birds with antigen-ELISA and cell culture.
