Diabetic patients have a higher incidence of stroke, especially cerebral infarction. Hypertension as well as aging and sex differences are recognized as a major factor for stroke. In addition, diabetes is likely to be accompanied by hypertension. Recently, many mega studies have reported that aggressive blood pressure reduction significantly reduced stroke.
