Allitridi inhibited human platelet aggregation induced by calcimycin and significantly decreased tension contraction of rat aortic strips induced by norepinephrine and KCl, caused the dose-response curves of norepinephrine and CaCl2 to shift rightward and depressed the maximal response. The influences of allitridi and verapamil on the dose-response curves of norepinephrine and CaCl2 were similar. The results indicate that allitridi may be a calcium antagonist.

It is unknown whether allitridi affects major repolarization currents, such as the transient outward K+ current (Ito), ultrarapid delayed rectifier K+Current (IKur) and the L‐type Ca2+current (ICa), in human atrial myocytes.
