Investigating the biomorphosis of the human oviductal mucosa it was possible to detect 2 stainable and histochemical different types of fibers in the connective tissue of the lamina propria mucosae. The fibers (aldehyde fuchsin positive pepsin- and papain-sensitive disulfide bonds containing fibers and picrofuchsin positive fibers) show age-dependent changes in distribution, arrangement and localization.
