It is shown that veratramin (2.5 X 10(-5)M) inhibits, partially or completely, the accelerative effect of adrenalin (5.5 X 10(-7) M), isoproterenol (10(-7) M), prostaglandin E2 (5 X 10(-5) M), and glucagon (10(-5) M) in experiments on cultures of newborn rat cardiac cells and the effect of histamine on 3--4-week embryo cultures.
