Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the preparation and properties of succinate dehydrogenase–coenzyme Q reductase (complex II). The rate of reduction of coenzyme Q 2 by succinate is determined indirectly by the measurement of the rate of reduction of 2, 6-dichloroindophenol, which is reduced rapidly by (coenzyme Q 10 ) H 2 or (coenzyme Q 2 ) H 2 .
