CADASIL (Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Subcortical Infarcts and Leucoencephalopathy) is a newly discovered inherited cerebrovascular disease characterized clinically by recurrent stroke-like incidents, dementia and often pseudobulbar palsy.
