We review the status of mixing of neutral $B$-mesons, including a discussion of the current precision of Standard Model (SM) predictions as well as the space that is left for effects of new physics. In that respect we present several observables, which are particularly sensitive to the remaining new physics (NP) parameter space. $B$-mixing can also be used to test the fundaments of quantum mechanics, here we suggest a new measurement of the ratio of like-sign dilepton events to opposite-sign…

B0−B¯0mixing at next-to-leading order
We compute the perturbative corrections to the HQET sum rules for the matrix element of the \Delta B=2 operator that determines the mass shift of $B^0$, $\bar{B}^0$ states. Technically, we obtain
Chiral flavor violation from extended gauge mediation
A bstractModels of extended gauge mediation, in which large A-terms arise through direct messenger-MSSM superpotential couplings, are well-motivated by the discovery of the 125 GeV Higgs. However,
The flavour of warped extra dimensions
Models with warped extra dimensions offer a promising solution to the hierarchy problem. However, it is known that flavour changing neutral currents arise at tree level in models with warped extra
Measuring Semileptonic Asymmetries in LHCb
The $C\!P$-violating flavour-specific asymmetry in neutral $b$ mesons provides a method for testing the Standard Model. The measurements from the D0 experiment yield values of this asymmetry that
Time reversal symmetry violation in entangled pseudoscalar neutral charmed mesons
The direct observation of time reversal symmetry violation (TV) is important for the test of $CPT$ conservation and the Standard Model. In this paper, we study both time-dependent and
Search for a lighter Higgs boson in Two Higgs Doublet Models
A bstractWe consider present constraints on Two Higgs Doublet Models, both from the LHC at Run 1 and from other sources in order to explore the possibility of constraining a neutral scalar or
TASI Lectures on Flavor Physics
Author(s): Ligeti, Zoltan | Abstract: A somewhat eclectic choice of topics: Review of Flavor in the quark sector of the SM, the appearance of the CKM matrix and determination of its elements, FCNCs,
Mixing and mixing-related CP violation in the B system
We present the summary of the working group on $B$ mixing and the related CP violation at the CKM 2014 workshop. The contributions reflect the experimental and theoretical progress in the field over
Flavor Physics and CP Violation
These notes overlap with lectures given at the TASI summer schools in 2014 and 2011, as well as at the European School of High Energy Physics in 2013. This is primarily an attempt at transcribing my
A Roadmap to Control Penguin Effects in $B^0_d\to J/\psi K_{\rm S}^0$ and $B^0_s\to J/\psi \phi$
Measurements of CP violation in $B^0_d\to J/\psi K_{\rm S}^0$ and $B^0_s\to J/\psi \phi$ decays play key roles in testing the quark-flavour sector of the Standard Model. The theoretical

Theoretical update of B-Mixing and Lifetimes
We review the current status of theoretical predictions for mixing quantities and lifetimes in the $B$-sector. In particular, due to the first non-zero measurement of the decay rate difference in the
D-meson lifetimes within the heavy quark expansion
Even if new data indicate that direct CP violation in D -meson decays is compatible with the standard model expectation, the first hints for direct CP violation have triggered a lot of interest, and
Numerical updates of lifetimes and mixing parameters of B mesons
We update the Standard-Model predictions for several quantities related to Bs−B¯s and Bd−B¯d mixing. The mass and width differences in the Bs system read ΔMSMs=(17.3±2.6)ps−1 and
Constraints on new physics in $B-\bar{B}$ mixing in the light of recent LHCb data.
We perform model-independent statistical analyses of three scenarios accommodating New Physics (NP) in Delta F=2 flavour-changing neutral current amplitudes. In a scenario in which NP in B_d-B_d-bar
Anatomy of new physics in B-B mixing
We analyse three different New Physics scenarios for Delta F=2 flavour-changing neutral currents in the quark sector in the light of recent data on neutral-meson mixing. We parametrise generic New
Review of lattice results concerning low-energy particle physics
We review lattice results relevant for pion and kaon physics with the aim of making them easily accessible to the particle physics community. Specifically, we review the determination of the
On new physics in ΔΓd
A bstractMotivated by the recent measurement of the dimuon asymmetry by the DØ collaboration, which could be interpreted as an enhanced decay rate difference in the neutral Bd-meson system, we
$B$- and $D$-meson decay constants from three-flavor lattice QCD
We calculate the leptonic decay constants ofB (s) andD (s) mesons in lattice QCD using staggered light quarks and Fermilab bottom and charm quarks. We compute the heavy-light meson correlation
