A recent open problem was stated on the geometric properties of φfixed points of self-mappings of a metric space in the non-unique fixed point cases. In this paper, we deal with the solutions of this open problem and present some solutions via the help of appropriate auxiliary numbers and geometric conditions. We see that a zero of a given function φ can produce a fixed circle (resp. fixed disc) contained in the fixed point set of a self-mapping T on a metric space. Moreover, this circle (resp… Expand

Fixed point theory in partial metric spaces via φ-fixed point’s concept in metric spaces
Let X be a non-empty set. We say that an element x∈X is a φ-fixed point of T, where φ:X→[0,∞) and T:X→X, if x is a fixed point of T and φ(x)=0. In this paper, we establish some existence results ofExpand
Generalizations of Metric Spaces: From the Fixed-Point Theory to the Fixed-Circle Theory
This paper is a research survey about the fixed-point (resp. fixed-circle) theory on metric and some generalized metric spaces. We obtain new generalizations of the well-known Rhoades’ contractiveExpand

The fixed-circle problem is a recent problem about the study of geometric properties of the fixed point set of a self-mapping on metric (resp. generalized metric) spaces. The fixed-disc problemExpand
A new contractive condition approach to φ-fixed point results in metric spaces and its applications
TLDR
The new concept of a generalization of ( F, ź ) -contraction mapping is introduced and some existence results of ź -fixed point for such mappings are established and some fixed point theorems in partial metric spaces are deduced. Expand
A Relation Theoretic Approach for φ-Fixed Point Result in Metric Space with an Application to an Integral Equation
In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of φ-fixed point for (F, φ, θ)-contraction mapping in a complete metric space with a binary relation. Here the contractive condition is requiredExpand

In this paper, we introduce the notions of (F, φ , α - ψ )-contractions and (F, φ , α - ψ )-weak contractions in metric spaces and utilize the same to prove some existence and uniqueness φ -fixedExpand
On the existence of fixed points that belong to the zero set of a certain function
Let T:X→X$T: X\to X$ be a given operator and FT$F_{T}$ be the set of its fixed points. For a certain function φ:X→[0,∞)$\varphi: X\to[0,\infty)$, we say that FT$F_{T}$ is φ-admissible if FT$F_{T}$ isExpand
Some fixed-circle theorems and discontinuity at fixed circle
In this study, we give some existence and uniqueness theorems for fixed circles of self-mappings on a metric space with some illustrative examples. Recently, real-valued neural networks withExpand
