Morphology and phylogenetic analysis of two oxytrichid soil ciliates from China, Oxytricha paragranulifera n. sp. and Oxytricha granulifera Foissner and Adam, 1983 (Protista, Ciliophora, Hypotrichia).

- BiologyInternational Journal of Systematic and…

Phylogenetic analyses based on SSU rRNA gene sequence data suggest a close relationship within the Oxytrichidae assemblage between O. paragranulifera n.
Morphogenesis and Molecular Phylogeny of a New Freshwater Ciliate, Notohymena apoaustralis n. sp. (Ciliophora, Oxytrichidae)
- Zhao-Peng Lv, Lan Chen, Lingyun Chen, Chen Shao, M. Miao, A. Warren
- BiologyJournal of Eukaryotic Microbiology
- 1 September 2013
Phylogenetic analyses based on small subunit rDNA sequence data suggest a sister relationship between N. apoaustralis n.
Morphology, Cell Division, and Phylogeny of Uroleptus longicaudatus (Ciliophora, Hypotricha), a Species of the Uroleptus limnetis Complex
- Lingyun Chen, Zhao-Peng Lv, Chen Shao, Saleh A. Al-Farraj, Weibo Song, H. Berger
- BiologyJournal of Eukaryotic Microbiology
- 1 May 2016
It is proposed to subsume U. longicaudatus and few other little‐known species, which are not clearly distinguishable at the present state of knowledge, as U. limnetis complex, because of the lack of detailed morphological data of the populations sequenced so far.
A Molecular Phylogenetic Investigation of Bakuella, Anteholosticha, and Caudiholosticha (Protista, Ciliophora, Hypotrichia) Based on Three‐Gene Sequences
- Zhao-Peng Lv, Chen Shao, Zhenzhen Yi, A. Warren
- BiologyJournal of Eukaryotic Microbiology
- 1 May 2015
All three genera should be regarded as the members of the order Urostyloida within the subclass Hypotrichia, as indicated by morphological characters and Bakuella has a closer relationship with U Frostyla than with bakuellids (e.g. Apobakuella and Metaurostylopsis), suggesting Bakueella may belong to the family Urostelidae rather than the family Bakuellidae.
Comparative Transcriptome Analysis Reveals the Molecular Immunopathogenesis of Chinese Soft-Shelled Turtle (Trionyx sinensis) Infected with Aeromonas hydrophila
- Zhao-Peng Lv, Yazhou Hu, Jin Tan, Xiaoqing Wang, Xiaoyan Liu, Cong Zeng
- BiologyBiology

It is shown that cytokine–cytokine receptor interaction, PRRs mediated signaling pathway, apoptosis, and phagocytosis enriched in active and inactive turtles were significantly different, which provides new insight into the molecular pathology during A. hydrophila infection in T. sinensis.
Morphogenesis of a unique pseudourostylid ciliate, Trichototaxis songi (Ciliophora, Urostylida).

Taxonomy and phylogeny of two species of the genus Deviata (Protista, Ciliophora) from China, with description of a new soil form, Deviata parabacilliformis sp. nov.
- Fengchao Li, Zhao-Peng Lv, Zhenzhen Yi, S. Al‐Farraj, K. Al-Rasheid, Chen Shao
- BiologyInternational Journal of Systematic and…
- 1 November 2014
Molecular phylogenetic analysis suggests that Deviata is not monophyletic, and its position is poorly resolved due to weak phylogenetic signal of the 18S marker in the Stichotrichida.
Comparative Mitochondrial Analysis of Cnaphalocrocis exigua (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) and Its Close Relative C. medinalis
- KAI-JUN Zhang, X. Rong, Zhao-Peng Lv, Lei Liu, Guo-Yang Li, Huai Liu
- BiologyJournal of Insect Science
- 1 November 2020
Although phylogenetic analysis based on the mitogenomic data strongly supported the close relationship between these two species, many differences were still being revealed and protein coding genes, especially the atp8 genes, had quite different evolutionary rates.
