Based on the 16S rDNA of 8 species (belonging to 8 families of Acridoidea) from China and keyed to 8 relative species of Orthoptera from GenBank, the homologus sequences were compared and revealed considerable variation in 188 nucleotide sites among the analyzed individuals from 8 different families. Phylogenetic analyses of some genera in Oedipodidae (Orthoptera: Acridoidea) based on 16S mitochondrial partial gene sequences
The phylogenetic tree indicated that the Oedipodidae was a monophyletic group, which suggested that the taxonomic status of this family was confirmed, and the relative intergeneric relationship within the same continent was closer than that of different continents. Expand
Discovery of a new species of Formosatettix Tinkham, 1937 (Orthoptera, Tetrigoidea, Tetrigidae) from China.
The new species is allied to Formosatettix wulaoshanensis Zheng & Xu, 2010, but differs from the latter by the apex of pronotum reaching distal 2/3 of hind femur, width of frontal ridge equal to that of basal segment of antennae. Expand
Molecular phylogeny of some genera of Pamphagidae (Acridoidea, Orthoptera) from China based on mitochondrial 16S rDNA sequences
The molecular phylogeny is constructed using the Neighbor Joining (NJ) and Minimum Evolution ( ME) methods based on the nucleotide Kimura 2-parameter model and shows that all Pamphagidae taxa form a monophyletic clade. Expand
A new genus and a new species of pygmy mole cricket in Cretaceous amber from Burma (Orthoptera: Tridactylidae).
A new genus and a new species of pygmy mole cricket i.e. Paraxya gen nov. and Paraxya hui sp. nov. are described from Burma Cretaceous amber in this paper. The new genus is allied to Xya Latreille.… Expand

Abstract The complete mitochondrial genome of Humphaplotropis culaishanensis sp. nov., which was collected from the Shandong Province of China, is reported here. It was 15,659 bp in length and… Expand
Molecular phylogeny of Pamphagidae (Acridoidea, Orthoptera) from China based on mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase II sequences
The phylogenetic trees revealed the monophyly of Pamphagidae and three distinct major groups within this family within the Acridoidea superfamily and several well supported and stable clades were found. Expand
Two new species of the genus Aalatettix Zheng & Mao (Orthoptera, Tetrigoidea, Tetrigidae) from Taiwan, China.
Two new species of the genus Aalatettix Zheng & Mao, 2002, namely Aalatettix yangi sp. nov. and Aalatettix xiai sp. nov. are described and illustrated. The new species Aalatettix yangi sp. nov. is… Expand
A new species of the genus Xya Latreille, 1809 from Shandong, China (Orthoptra, Tridctyloidea, Tridactylidae).
A new species of the genus Xya Latreille is described from Junan county, Shandong province, China, which is similar to Xya japonica, but differs from latter by antennae near moniliform. Expand
A new species of the genus Xya Latreille, 1809 from Fujian, China (Orthoptera, Tridctyloidea, Tridactylidae).
A new species of the genus Xya Latreille, 1809 from Fujian, China is described and is similar to Xya lehsanensis Cao et al, 2017, but differs from the latter by head black, with a yellow band along inner margin of eye. Expand
