True - false logic can be expanded to include a neutral "do not know" option. New primitive functions replace <i>AND, OR</i> and <i>NOT</i> in such a way as to generalize the rules of logic. Primitive functions in APL support this extension with ease. Further generalizations to multilevel logic are also possible.

A dyadic execute primitive will greatly simplify the building of Artificial Intelligence applications using APL. This function can also be used to remove much of the need for labels within defined functions. A suggested name for this new APL primitive is "rule".
