Glutathione-S-transferase A3 knockout mice are sensitive to acute cytotoxic and genotoxic effects of aflatoxin B1.
Participation of small intraportal stem cells in the restitutive response of the liver to periportal necrosis induced by allyl alcohol
It is concluded that restitutive proliferation of periportal necrosis induced by AA appears to be accomplished by proliferation of intraportal (?stem) cells whose progeny differentiate and eventually repopulate the necrotic zone.
Correlation between Blood Biochemical Metabolites Milk Yield, Dry Matter Intake and Energy Balance in Dairy Cows during Early and Mid Lactation
The objective of the present study was to investigate nutritional and metabolic status in Simmental cows during early and mid-lactation. Fifteen early lactation cows and 15 mid lactation cows were…
Relationship among blood metabolites and lipid content in the liver in transitional dairy cows
Investigation has shown that the lipid content in the liver and the blood non-esterificed fatty acids, β-hydroxybutyrate, total bilirubin concentrations and the AST activities were significantly higher in puerperal ketotic cows as compared to the values of these parameters in the blood of healthy cows.
Antitumorous and immunomodulatory effects of the Viscum album L. preparation Isorel.
The combined action of Isorel, influencing tumor viability on the one hand and the host's immune reactivity on the other, seems to be favorable for its antitumor action in vivo.
Relationships Between Contents of Biochemical Metabolites in Blood and Milk in Dairy Cows During Transition and Mid Lactation
The objective of this study was to determine blood and milk metabolites and their interrelationships to evaluate the metabolic status in dairy cows for early diagnosis of subclinical metabolic…

Fetal calf serum not only had a growth stimualting effect but also modulated the action of HNE, indicating that the influence of serum was not exerted via an albumin–HNE conjugate.
Proliferation and differentiation of ductular progenitor cells and littoral cells during the regeneration of the rat liver to CCl4/2-AAF injury.
Small hepatocytes, as well as some larger hepatocytes adjacent to the ducts, stain for AFP and for carbamoylphosphate synthetase I (CPS-I), suggesting that the ductular progenitor cells may differentiate into hepatocytes when AAF is withdrawn.
Proliferation of hepatic lineage cells of normal C57BL and interleukin‐6 knockout mice after cocaine‐induced periportal injury
The phenobarbital/cocaine injury model is useful to study restitutive proliferation of mouse liver cell lineages and shows that IL‐6 is not required for proliferation of liver cells; timely repair of liver injury occurs in both normal and IL‐ 6 knockout mice.
Genetic or pharmacologic activation of Nrf2 signaling fails to protect against aflatoxin genotoxicity in hypersensitive GSTA3 knockout mice.

The inability to rescue GSTA3 knockout mice from aflatoxin genotoxicity through the Nrf2 transcriptional program indicates that Gsta3 is unilaterally responsible for the detoxication of a flatoxin in mice.
