It is known that a bent function corresponds to a perfect nonlinear function, which makes it difficult to do the differential cryptanalysis in DES and in many other block ciphers. In this paper, for an odd prime p, quadratic p-ary bent functions defined on finite fields are given from the families of p-ary sequences with optimal correlation property. And… (More)

In this paper, we derived the autocorrelation distributions, i.e., the values and the number of occurrences of each value of the autocorrelation function of Sidel’nikov sequences using cyclotomic numbers. The frequency of each autocorrelation value of an M -ary Sidel’nikov sequence is expressed in terms of the cyclotomic numbers of order M . It is also… (More)

Methylglucuronoxylans (MeGXn) and methylglucuronoarabinoxylans (MeGAXn) respectively comprise most of the hemicellulose fractions in dicots and monocots and, next to cellulose, are the major resources for the production of fuels and chemicals from lignocellulosics. With either MeGXn or MeGAXn as a substrate, Bacillus subtilis 168 accumulates acidic… (More)

Paenibacillus sp. JDR-2 (Pjdr2) has been studied as a model for development of bacterial biocatalysts for efficient processing of xylans, methylglucuronoxylan, and methylglucuronoarabinoxylan, the predominant hemicellulosic polysaccharides found in dicots and monocots, respectively. Pjdr2 produces a cell-associated GH10 endoxylanase (Xyn10A1) that catalyzes… (More)

In this paper, using bent functions defined on the finite field, we generalized the construction method of the family of p-ary bent sequences with balanced and optimal correlation property introduced by Kumar and Moreno for an odd prime p [3], called a generalized p-ary bent sequence. It turns out that the family of balanced p-ary sequences with optimal… (More)

In this paper, we derive the cycltomic numbers of order 5 over the extension field Fpn using well-known results of quintic Jacobi sums over Fp [5]. For p 6≡ 1 mod 5, we have obtained the simple closed-form expression of the cyclotomic numbers of order 5. For p ≡ 1 mod 5, the expression involves rather complicated summations.

Paenibacillus sp. strain JDR-2 (Paenibacillus JDR-2) secretes a multimodular cell-associated glycoside hydrolase family 10 (GH10) endoxylanase (XynA10A1) that catalyzes the depolymerization of methylglucuronoxylan (MeGXn) and rapidly assimilates the products of depolymerization. Efficient utilization of MeGXn has been postulated to result from the coupling… (More)

In this paper, we propose a design scheme for LCZ sequence sets with parameters (2 − 2,M,L, 2). In this scheme, we can freely choose the LCZ length L and the resulting LCZ sequence set has the size M , which is nearly optimal with respect to Tang, Fan, and Matsufuji bound.
