Identification and function of two myeloid differentiation factor 88 variants in triangle-shell pearl mussel (Hyriopsis cumingii).
Results indicated that Hc myeloid differentiation factor 88-2 had higher activity than HcMyD88-1 during the activation of attacin A, drosomycin, and metchnikowin genes, suggesting that Hd88 genes may play a role in antibacterial innate immune defense. Expand
