Analysis of genetic diversity of ancient Ginkgo populations using SSR markers
To explore the genetic variation of geographic populations and possible refuges of Ginkgo during the glacial period, 216 samples from 6 ancient populations and 2 cultivated populations were analyzed using 22 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers, indicating a high level of genetic diversity.
Complete chloroplast genome sequences of two endangered Phoebe (Lauraceae) species
The analysis showed the extremely conserved structure of chloroplast genomes with surprisingly little variations at the LSC/ir and SSC/IR boundaries, suggesting an extraordinarily low level of sequence divergence.
Stoichiometric homeostasis, physiology, and growth responses of three tree species to nitrogen and phosphorus addition
Key messageHomeostatic regulation coefficient (H) exists for trees and the tree species with higher H are more stable in physiological and growth responses to nutrient addition.AbstractStoichiometric
Phenotypic variation in Phoebe bournei populations preserved in the primary distribution area
The results from CV and PCA indicated that leaf area, leaf length and thousand seed weight were the main factors accounting for the observed phenotypic variations.
Transcriptome sequencing and SNP detection in Phoebe chekiangensis
The currently available SNP prediction software packages showed low levels of correspondence when compared and will contribute to the exploration of P. chekiangensis genetic resources and the understanding of its molecular mechanisms.
Characterization of the complete plastid genome sequence of the endangered species Bretschneidera sinensis
The complete plastid genome sequence of Bretschneidera sinensis was characterized from Illumina paired-end sequencing data and found that 14 of the 112 genes contain one intron, while only two genes harbor two introns.
The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Styrax zhejiangensis, a species with an extremely small population
The chloroplast genome of S. zhejiangensis was determined from Illumina pair-end sequencing data and showed that Styracaceae was more closely related to Symplocaceae than to Ebenaceae.
EST-SSR marker development based on transcriptome sequencing and genetic analyses of Phoebe bournei (Lauraceae).
High-throughput sequencing of the Phoebe bournei transcriptome was performed, and novel SSR markers were identified, and the transcriptomic resources and EST-SSR markers are valuable tools not only for the ecological conservation of P.bournei but also for phylogenetic studies.
