Two new species of Helobdella Blanchard 1896 (Hirudinida: Rhynchobdellida: Glossiphoniidae) from Taiwan, with a checklist of hirudinea fauna of the island

Three new species of Helobdella leeches are reported and the potential ecological impact of these species was discussed and a checklist of the hirudinea fauna in Taiwan, including eight species in Family Glossiphoniidae, four in Hirudinidae, two in Haemopidae, and two in Salifidae is provided.

Do brain parasites alter host personality? — Experimental study in minnows
TLDR
The results suggest that D. phoxini parasites may shape the personality of their hosts, but that behavioral consequences of ecologically relevant infection levels may be rather subtle and easily remain undetected if only the mean trait expressions are compared.

Prey selection of a shell‐invading leech as predicted by optimal foraging theory with consumption success incorporated into estimation of prey profitability

This study showed that when the consumption success was incorporated into the estimation of prey profitability, the optimal foraging model could predict the prey selection of a predator with highly variable consumption success, which has been poorly predicted previously.
