The algicidal mechanism of prodigiosin from Hahella sp. KA22 against Microcystis aeruginosa
- Ke Yang, Qiuliang Chen, Hong Xu
- BiologyScientific Reports
- 10 August 2017
A high algicidal activity of prodigiosin (PG) is reported against M. aeruginosa as well as the alg suicidal mechanism, and many proteins were differentially expressed in response to PG stress and that most of these proteins were involved in important metabolic processes, which may trigger necrotic-like or apoptotic-like cell death.
