The purpose of this research was to assess the potential for far-infrared ray irradiation from ceramic powder to improve exercise performance at room temperature. We designed experiments with murine myoblast cells (C2C12) to study the effect of cFIR irradiation on cell viability and lactate dehydrogenase release under H2O2-mediated oxidative stress and… (More)
A naturally occurring crosslinking agent, genipin, extracted from the fruits of Gardenia jasminoides ELLIS was used by our group to chemically modified biomolecules. Genipin and its related iridoid glucosides have been widely used as an antiphlogistic and cholagogue in herbal medicine. Our previous study showed that the cytotoxicity of genipin is… (More)
Stroma-free hemoglobin (Hb) has been modified by pyridoxylation and followed by polymerization with glutaraldehyde as a blood substitute. Nevertheless, the reaction rate of pyridoxylated Hb (PLP-Hb) with glutaraldehyde is too fast to control its molecular weight distribution. Additionally, it was reported that glutaraldehyde is cytotoxic even at low doses.… (More)
Zigbee is used as assistive technology for children with developmental delays to achieve the goal of going to the toilet independently. In special education under the guidance of a teacher, we use a Zigbee sensor network to assist a 9-year-old child with toilet training.
