Medulloblastoma (MB) is a type of malignant tumor arising only in the cerebellum that was first defined by Cushing and Bailey in 1920s. In this review paper, we trace the evolution of risk stratification and the correlated changing concept of management in the past years. Outcome analysis of the hospital series of the Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Cheng(More)
BACKGROUND Abandonment of therapy is a significant cause of paediatric cancer treatment failure in low- to middle-income countries (LMIC), but its impact has been underestimated. We performed a meta-analysis to determine the magnitude of abandonment in paediatric leukaemia in LMIC and sought to identify patient-, centre- and country-specific predictors of(More)
Neuroblastoma (NB) is a common neural crest-derived extracranial solid cancer in children. Among all childhood cancers, NB causes devastating loss of young lives as it accounts for 15% of childhood cancer mortality. Neuroblastoma, especially high-risk stage 4 NB with MYCN amplification has limited treatment options and associated with poor prognosis. This(More)
In this study, a low-power and low-voltage 5.5-GHz receiver front-end circuit is designed using a resonator coupling technique. An on-chip transformer combined with the parasitic capacitances from a low-noise amplifier (LNA), a mixer, and the transformer itself comprises two coupled resonators of the resonator coupling network (RCN). The RCN functions as a(More)
UNLABELLED Neuroblastic tumors are childhood neoplasms that possess amino acid decarboxylase (AADC) activity and can theoretically be imaged by (18)F-fluorodihydroxyphenylalanine ((18)F-FDOPA) PET, a new diagnostic tool for neuroendocrine tumors. In this study, we explored the accuracy and clinical role of (18)F-FDOPA PET in neuroblastic tumors. METHODS(More)
Studies have found lower risk of childhood cancer among Asian children. We aim to characterize the recent incidence and incidence-trend of childhood cancer in Taiwan after the National Health Insurance program was launched in March 1995. Data were extracted from the Taiwan Cancer Registry, a population-based database established in 1979. Cases diagnosed at(More)
In this work a 5-GHz receiver front-end is designed for the application of wireless sensor networks. The circuit topology is chosen available for low supply voltage below 1V. The stability condition of the LNA circuit is ensured by adding reactive components. Total power consumption of the fabricated circuit is 0.86mW, of which 0.7mW goes to the LNA stage.(More)
