The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of glucose-based peritoneal dialysis (PD) fluids and icodextrin-based PD fluids on the expression of Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2)/TLR4 and subsequent ligand-induced mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and NF-kappaB signaling and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) and interleukin-1beta(More)
Umbelopsis changbaiensis is described as a new species of the genus Umbelopsis, Umbelopsidaceae, Mucorales. It was isolated from forest soil mix in Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province, China. The new species is distinct from all the previously described species mainly in colony color, branching type of sporangiophores, and shape and size of columellae.(More)
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE The blood supply of liver metastatic tumors affects the selection of administration approach and target vessels of interventional therapy. This study was to investigate the blood supply of liver metastatic tumors with both CT arterial portography (CTAP) via the superior mesenterica arterial (SMA) and multi-slice spiral CT perfusion(More)
Based on maximum growth temperatures, morphological characteristics and multilocus phylogenies (partial 18S and 28S, internal transcribed spacer regions of nuc rDNA and a fragment of an actin gene), Umbelopsis roseonana and U. versiformis are treated as heterotypic synonyms of U. nana, while the phylogenetically closely related U. dimorpha is retained as a(More)
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE Hepatic metastases are common for patients with malignant tumors, especially for the gastrointestinal malignancies. Early diagnosis confers better prognosis. This study was designed to investigate the hepatic hemodynamic changes by multi-slice helical perfusion CT in rats with liver micrometastatases of Walker-256 tumor cells. (More)
