Findings indicate that miR-34a contributes to chondrocyte death, causing OA progression through DLL1 and modulation of the PI3K/AKT pathway.
miR‐373 regulates inflammatory cytokine‐mediated chondrocyte proliferation in osteoarthritis by targeting the P2X7 receptor
The results suggest a novel method for OA treatment by targeting the miR‐373–P2X7R pathway, and suggest that miR-373 mediates chondrocyte proliferation and inflammation by targeting P2x7R.

Expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2 in rabbit radial defect site with different lengths.
- Guo-zhu Hou, Feng Xu, Wenju Li, Xiaomeng Zhu, Xing-hua Song, Y. Zhan
- Medicine, BiologyInternational Journal of Clinical and…
- 15 June 2015
The results indicate that expression of the bone morphogenetic protein 2 in 3.0 cm bone defect site is increased significantly, but the expression level cannot make the bone defect heal itself.
Gene gun transferring-bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP-2) gene enhanced bone fracture healing in rabbits.
- Wenju Li, Haifeng Wei, Y. Zhan
- Medicine, BiologyInternational Journal of Clinical and…
- 15 November 2015
The results suggested that B MP-2 gene transferred by gene gun could increase the expression of BMP-2 protein and improved the bone callus formation therefore shortened the time of bone defect healing.
METTL3-mediated LINC00657 promotes osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells via miR-144-3p/BMPR1B axis
The results showed that METTL3 was downregulated in OP and LINC00657 functioned as a ceRNA to upregulate BMPR1B via sponging miR-144-3p, which facilitated osteogenesis of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs).
[Comparison of effectiveness of cortical bone trajectory screw fixation and pedicle screw fixation in posterior lumbar interbody fusion].

For the single segment degenerative lumbar disease, the use of CBTS or conventional pedicle screw for PLIF can obtain satisfactory clinical function and interbody fusion rate but the former has the advantages of less blood loss, less intraoperative muscle damage, less perioperative pain, shorter length of hospital stay and bed rest time.
Association of LRP5 Ala1330Val polymorphism with fracture risk: a meta-analysis.
The results of the current meta-analysis indicate that the LRP5 Ala1330Val polymorphism may not be correlated with fracture susceptibility and is not associated with the risk of fracture in Asians or Caucasians.
